Sleepy Lagoon

Sleepy Lagoon offers two separate homes that sit on 18 manicured acres, surrounded by lagoons, ponds, fountains, bridges, and wildlife. The property backs up to the Little Bogue Falaya River where guests can enjoy calming waters and a sandy beach. Sleepy Lagoon’s Main House sleeps 6 and is an entertainer’s dream! The entire living area features floor to ceiling windows along one whole side of the house, with gorgeous views of the pond and fountains just outside.

The Main House offers a wet bar, dining for 12, a commercial grade kitchen, and a fireplace only 2nd in size in St. Tammany Parish to the Cracker Barrell (according to our chimney sweep!) Sleepy Lagoon’s Cottage sleeps 8 and is within walking distance from the Main House, but far enough away to allow guests privacy should they be booked separately.

Then there’s the third house…where we live as empty nesters with our two pups. We’re always close by should you need anything at all! At Sleepy Lagoon, we specialize in hosting bridal party stays. Most brides choose to get ready with her bridesmaids and family in the Main House, while the groom and his groomsmen get ready in the Cottage nearby. There’s ample space for the groomsmen to enjoy their day (fishing, hanging at the river, having a crawfish boil, barbecuing…) while the ladies enjoy a day of hair, makeup, and brunch in the Main House. After everyone is ready, there are incredible spots around the property for the bride and groom to capture their “First Look”. And then there are amazing spots throughout the property to take bridal party photos before heading off to the ceremony.
