Hey y’all! I’m Stacey and I’m the owner and operator of The Lacroix Loft + Landings and I’d love to host you at our home! I was born and raised in the Mandeville/Covington area and my husband Mike (also a Northshore native) and I have raised our four kids here. They are all grown and made us quite proud by attending our Alma Mater, Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) We purchased The Lacroix in March 2019 just before we became empty nesters. As it was my first short term rental, I lovingly refer to it as my fifth child. Since it’s a 125-year-old home, it does require special care and upkeep and the home occupies much of my time and attention. But keeping it up to date and ready to share with guests from all around the world is what makes me happy!
Being raised in the South, hosting comes quite naturally to me. I’ve been known to drop off homemade red beans and rice to guests on Mondays (it’s a New Orleans tradition y’all!) and I’ve even picked up guests’ dirty clothes to launder at my home when the washing machine went out during their stay. If it makes people happy, I’m in! I guess something is working, because I’ve been an Airbnb Superhost since the first quarter I began in this business and have garnered over a thousand 5-star reviews. I now act as an Airbnb Superhost Ambassador, helping new hosts get up and running in their businesses. I also recently co-authored a book titled “Hospitable Hosts” that became a number one best seller on Amazon in dozens of categories and have been featured on numerous podcasts helping others gain knowledge about the short term rental industry! I now operate five listings in the area and hosting has become a way of life. I truly LOVE the City of Covington and all the unique things we have to offer here!
My newest venture is Sleepy Lagoon, an 18-acre property with river access that features ponds and lagoons winding around two separate short term rentals on site. It’s the perfect setting for bridal parties, family reunions, girlfriend getaways, and small special events. Mike and I also live at Sleepy Lagoon with our two pups Tipsy and Eddy. When I’m not scrubbing toilets, messaging guests, or folding incessant piles of laundry, I can be found reading, listening to podcasts, peeling crawfish, or trying not to lose on the tennis court.
